Holds a PhD in Political Science from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, NOVA University of Lisbon, where he currently teaches as a Guest Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Studies. He has worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Sociological Studies of NOVA University of Lisbon (2010/11) and he was Visiting PhD Student at the University of Cambridge (2013/14). His main publications focus on the issues of political legitimacy and representation from both a theoretical and a historical perspective.
