PhD Candidate at NOVA FCSH with a doctoral scholarship from FCT. He graduated with a Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of York and his current research is on the impact of experts and evidence on European drug policy. Other research interests include discourse and the financial crisis and he has presented at national and international conferences on the topic of Portuguese political discourse. He is a co-convenor of the UK PSA Specialist Group on Anti-politics and depoliticization and is a co-editor of the forthcoming volume The Dynamics of (De)politicization.
